This blog aims to unravel the key elements that will define social media marketing this year, providing marketers and businesses with insights to master the art of online engagement.

Trends Shaping Social Media Marketing:

Emerging Platforms: As social media platforms continue to evolve, emerging players are making their mark. From audio-based platforms to niche communities, businesses need to be aware of the latest entrants and assess their relevance for targeted marketing.

Interactive Content: The demand for interactive content is on the rise. From polls and quizzes to immersive experiences, businesses are leveraging interactive content to boost engagement and create memorable brand interactions.

Video Dominance: Video content continues to be a dominant force on social media. Short-form videos, live streaming, and interactive video features are reshaping the way brands communicate. Understanding the nuances of video content creation and consumption is crucial for a successful social media strategy.

Strategies for Success:

Data-Driven Decision Making: The importance of data-driven decision-making cannot be overstated. Marketers must harness the power of analytics tools to understand audience behaviour, preferences, and trends, allowing for targeted and effective content creation.

Authenticity and Transparency: In an era of information overload, authenticity and transparency are key differentiators. Brands that communicate genuine stories and values resonate better with audiences. Social media strategies should focus on building trust through open communication.

Influencer Collaboration: Influencer marketing continues to thrive, with influencers becoming powerful advocates for brands. However, the approach is shifting towards micro and nano-influencers, emphasizing authenticity and niche audience targeting.

Craig supported Oaklea with our recent Employee Conference in November 2017.  Craig met with Oaklea Team Manager’s and Customer’s across a large geographical area and filmed videos of our employees and customer’s ‘getting involved’ in the community.  Craig collated the videos using Oaklea branding and worked with myself to fit with the vision of the Employee Conference. The videos were exactly what we had asked for and they were great to see at the conference.  Craig made QR codes and the videos can now be accessed via social media’

Craig worked with us and our pupils until we got the design we wanted, he gave us many options to choose from and the final result is amazing

Gillian Temple - Head Teacher for Mayfield School

Three key things I liked about working with Craig, he listened, he came back with 3 different concepts that reflected what I was after in different ways, he did everything in collaboration as we refined the concept into a banner that I’m delighted with. On time, on budget and spot-on design work – I’d recommend him to anyone.
